It appears we made it safely through 2016. No, we did not stay up until midnight to welcome in the near year. We went to bed before midnight and we said "Happy New Year" to each other this morning. Jerry did stay up until 11pm watching TV, so he did get to see the Eastern Time Zone welcome in the new year. Our son Robby went to the Alabama playoff game in Atlanta yesterday, so he got to celebrate the new year an hour early.

We don't have any major plans for 2017 (other than a road trip or two) and we don't make resolutions. We will take each day as it comes and make the best of it, Lord willing. OK, that will be quite enough winter! Central Alabama got down into the teens for several nights and we even had one day that never got above freezing. Thankfully, it will be back into the 70s this week which is what we prefer for this time of the year. When it is that cold and the wind is blowing, you really don't want to go outside. The poor dog about froze his little wiener each time he had to go do his business. We've never seen the dog run out, do his business, and run back in so fast. None of that "I have to find just the right spot to poop".

We got our reply from Casita and they have nothing in stock and there is a 6 month lead time when you order one. They really need to hire more people so they can build more campers. If we do decide for certain that is what we want, we'll just bite the bullet and put an order in. The odds of finding a used one just like we want it is pretty slim.
