Scooter Tour of all 67 Alabama Counties

Our "Alabama Counties Tour of 2008" was inspired by a contest we learned about on a local motorcycle web forum. We decided this would be a fun and interesting adventure so we set up this page to show our progress. Hopefully you'll be amused, entertained and also learn a little about the many wonderful things in Alabama. Special thanks to the Alabama Department of Archives & History for official information about each county.

This adventure began on April 1st, 2008 on a 2001 Honda Reflex 250cc scooter and we visited 23 counties on that scooter. We visited the remaining counties while riding two 2008 Honda Ruckus 50cc scooters.  We completed this 67 county tour on August 30th, 2008 and it was kind of sad knowing it was over.  We absolutely had a blast and really enjoyed our many trips around the state.

We took at least 1 picture in every county that shows an identifiable landmark along with our scooter(s) to prove we were there. Click on a county name and it will take you to a page with a brief description of the county and a photo we took while visiting that county on our scooters. We also give a brief explanation of the photo as well. If you'd like to see a video compilation of the pictures, simply click here. We hope you enjoyed following along with us on this adventure and we'd love to hear from you via the form at the bottom of this page. Additional photos we took can be seen on this page.
