Jerry had his deposition yesterday related to his motorcycle wreck back in 2013. The man that hit him gave his deposition first, then Jerry gave his. The man that hit Jerry was very apologetic for the accident and Jerry said he has nothing against the man at all. He knows it is just one of those things that happened but the law states Jerry has to sue the man personally to get to his insurance company. Now we play the waiting game to see what the lawyers want to do next. We're in no rush and we're certainly not greedy, we just want a fair settlement for all that he has been through and will go through from now on. The accident has really affected us.

The temperatures are sure warming up now that March is here. Highs are averaging in the mid 70s every day and the trees are starting to bud. Once everything turns green, we will be taking another road trip. Not sure where we will go, but somewhere reasonably close. We'll take a big trip during vacation time in the summer. [81]

The high will be 75 today, woohoo! And it is sunny! We put the porch plants back outside and according to the forecast, we will be able to leave them out until next winter. A few weeks ago we trimmed our monkey grass, cut the rose bush back and put out the hummingbird feeder. The monkey grass is sprouting, there is new growth on the rose bush and so far, no sign of any hummingbirds. Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Jerry did a little cleaning inside today but had to stop because his shoulder started bothering him. He had a very rough day yesterday and last night with the pain in his leg and feet. He left church early because his pants touching his leg was too much to bear. He came to bed late because he couldn't fall asleep, and when I got up at 5:30 he was already up. He did lay back down this morning, he was exhausted. It looks like another trip to the VA to see what can be done, if anything. [82]

We were all set to head to the beach for Easter weekend... but the weather had other plans. Oddly enough, it was warm and sunny at home and warm and rainy in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We had our checklist completed, everything all lined up and ready to go and the rain just would not leave the beach. So we will stay at home this weekend, head to sunrise service Sunday morning then plan a trip to the beach for a different weekend. Luckily, we are only 4 hours from the Alabama Gulf Coast beaches, so it is not a great big deal to go there. What we'd really like to do is spend a week in the Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina area... now that sounds like a road trip. [83]

You spend a ton of money on a new vehicle, expecting it to be of good quality in every aspect... then you find out they spent .99¢ on your stereo speakers. We took our old speakers out and put in a pair of Kenwood KFC 1665S speakers and now we can really crank up that gospel music (and news radio). The old speakers were a joke, seriously. They would rattle if you turned up the radio enough to cover the road noise. Now we can enjoy all the songs we have on a thumb drive, whatever station we can pick up on AM/FM, and XM radio until July when our free year runs out. If you still have the factory speakers in your vehicle, take our advice and swap them out. Below are pictures of the original speaker and the new Kenwoods. [84]
