Fall Colors in Blue Ridge, Georgia
On October 19, 2012, we took the van up to Blue Ridge GA to see the fall colors. This particular weekend is when the fall colors were to be at their peak, and they were! We didn't have the Spyder when we took this trip and we needed to take Jerry's wheelchair, so the van was our only option. We spent 2 days in Blue Ridge, long enough for us to see all the things we wanted to see and do the things we wanted to do.We rode the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway that takes a 12 mile tour through the countryside. We chose to ride in one of the open air cars so we would have a better view. On this page we have displayed the pictures that we took but the video ended up being too blurry and shaky so it isn't available online. We overestimated the capabilities of our video camera when shooting from a moving vehicle at a right angle. Oh well, we'll know better next time.
We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them... and seeing everything in person. Blue Ridge, GA is a fantastic little town and well worth visiting no matter what time of the year it is. You don't need a lot of money, either. I think we spent about $300 total and that included gas there and back, our motel for the night, any meals we ate and any souvenirs we bought.
We visited here in 10/2012.
