Yellowstone National Park
After a restful night's sleep in Cody, we headed west to Yellowstone National Park. We were so excited, like little kids getting a 10 pound box of candy and permission to eat it all at once. We have dreamed of visiting Yellowstone for as long as we can remember. There are 2 places you must see before you die... Walt Disney World and Yellowstone National Park. Well, now we can die as we have been to both.Yellowstone National Park is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. It was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872. Yellowstone, widely held to be the first national park in the world, is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most popular features in the park.
We did a lot of research on Yellowstone before arriving. We looked at countless images and maps but all that paled in comparison to seeing it with our own eyes. Nothing could have prepared us for the beauty of this park. Thankfully, we had carefully planned our 2 days here so we could travel every major road and see every sight that did not require much walking. Had we not planned it out, we would have missed quite a bit. Rather than us babble on about the park, we'll let you just enjoy the pictures.
We visited here in 07/2014.
