We arrived in the Rio Grande Valley in late October 2010. We bought our 2011 Genuine Blur SS220i scooter in February of 2011 and thus began our tour. Our base was the Mission Bell and Trade Winds RV Resort in Mission, Texas. From there, we fanned out across the upper, mid and lower valley over the course of 9 months. Sadly, in October 2011 we sold our scooter and we no longer ride. This page chronicles our last scooter hoorah.

Here is a picture of the Blur. It was 220cc of fuel injected fun! It carried Cynthia and me at highway speeds with ease. We averaged about 75MPG when riding 2 up so this allowed us to do quite a bit of riding. Here is a shot of the Blur... it will be missed.


We visited dozens of neat little towns, ran parallel to the border for miles and miles, ate at some great Mexican restaurants, met some really cool people and saw some very unique sites. Below are some of the pictures we took while out riding, the rest can be seen here under Texas.
