  1. Campground fees are controlled by workamping, boondocking and/or staying in one spot for longer periods.
  2. Rate reflects full-timer's policy.
  3. Only Cynthia is covered by life insurance. Jerry is not eligible.
  4. We have an Android phone for cell service and Mobile Hot Spot internet.
  5. Our household has Satellite TV, an extra receiver is $7 per month.
  6. RV Clubs are Good Sam (3 yrs), Passport America (3 yrs) and Coach-Net (1 yr).
  7. Groceries are food/drink items. Also includes dining out.
  8. Movies, park admissions and other "touristy" things. Our entertainment is primarily our hobbies and all the equipment to do them is already paid for.
  9. Allows our mail to be sent to us wherever we may be. Annual fee plus any postage used.
  10. Miscellaneous is household supplies, shortages in other areas, ministry items, etc.
*We both have health care coverage. For privacy reasons, we don't disclose the details. We also do not list big ticket purchases we make for the same reason.

Having the dinette re-upholstered, buying 2 new recliners and the Jack Digital Antenna made the RV Maintenance appear excessive in January. The Jeep Maintenance costs were having the exhaust work done and buying a high quality tune-up kit.

Do you budget a certain amount monthly to cover maintenance costs for the RV and Jeep? It is something I've been considering while planning RV life. I may not spend the money more than once a year, but it would be set aside so it is available when needed.

No, we just put everything left over each month into savings (where we already have a small emergency fund). If you look over previous months, you will find some with negative amounts in the "To Savings" row. This is when we had to draw a little out to cover expenses.

We always comment in the blog about any expenses that are out of the ordinary if you want to know why any given figure is excessive.
