Advertising Information
As we travel to every state in the United States except Hawaii (sorry, but no bridge to there yet), we will visit hundreds of public campgrounds, private RV Parks and State & National Parks. Our rig will cover thousands and thousands of miles and will be seen by millions of people all along the way. This site URL is shown on 3 sides of our camper. The RV Road Trip web site is a very popular RV information and camping blog site.
Policies
- We accept the following in-page ad types: Image, Flash/Rich Media.
- We accept the following ad sizes: 120x60, 120x90, 120x240, 120x600, 125x125, 160x600, 468x60, 728x90. Skyscraper Ads (120x600, 160x600) are only permitted in the right hand column just below the AdWords display. If you wish to have your skyscraper ad placed on every page, it will be placed above the AdWords display.
- Button Ads (120x60, 120x90, 120x240, 125x125) and Banner Ads (468x60) may be placed on most pages and can be inserted at almost any location in the main body area of the page.
- Banner Ads (728x90) may only be placed at the bottom of the desired page and within the main body area. We do not place ads above the site banner.
- All ads will include a link to your own site, or a link to a page of your choosing.
- Maximum ad size is 25K. Formats may be GIF, JPG, PNG or SWF. We prefer to host the ad on our site but exceptions may be made.
- We reserve the right to refuse any ad for any reason. We do not accept any advertising that, in our sole opinion, is inappropriate, misleading, dishonest, vulgar, profane, sexually suggestive or offensive. We'll gladly let you know why the ad was rejected and allow you to correct it if you wish.
- Payment must be received before advertising can begin.
- Ads are billed by the month, with a one month minimum.
- We are easy to work with and communicate with. Just tell us what you'd like and we'll do our best to accommodate you. See our contact information below.
Rates
- Button Ads (120x60, 120x90, 120x240, 125x125), Banner Ads (468x60) and Text Ads: $20.00 per calendar month per ad placement.
- Skyscraper Ads (120x600, 160x600): $20 per calendar month per page. $200 per calendar month if displayed on every page that uses the right hand menu. This is currently over 120 pages. We will not display more than 2 skyscraper ads in the right hand column at any time (this does not include the AdWords display).
- Banner Ads (728x90): $20 per calendar month, per page.
Process
1. Submit banner graphic, alternate text, desired start date, target URL and desired display page to .
2. Send payment via PayPal (you will need to key in the amount when the PayPal site opens). Payment must be received before desired start date.
3. You will be notified by email when your submission has been reviewed and approved.
Ad Detailed Requirements
Banner or Button Graphic: Must be in GIF, JPG, PNG or SWF format. Animated images are not allowed except for flash files. File size cannot be larger than 25K. If you cannot supply an image, we can make one up for you, with your approval, for a flat fee of $20. We do not create flash files, only GIF, JPG or PNG.

Alternate Text: This is the text that appears if the user's browser cannot load the graphic. This should be no larger than 60 characters.

Desired Start Date: We prefer to start on the first of the month, but can start on any date if desired.
Desired Display Page: This is the specific page(s) on our site that you want your ad to appear on. Please let us know where on the page you would like the ad displayed.
Target URL: This is your target web address. This URL must be active when you submit your ad.
These requirements are necessary to ensure that the ads are a benefit to all. Any ads that significantly slow down loading a page are bad for everyone.
